ICTS Neuroimaging Unit

The primary responsibility of the ICTS Neuroimaging Unit is to provide support for human studies that involve human neuroscience imaging. All available modalities of brain and spine imaging are supported, including CT, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), SPECT, anatomical MRI, functional MRI, perfusion MRI, MR spectroscopy, and PET scanning. Imaging support can include assistance with study design, data analysis, and data storage. Other potential support includes nursing support, blood drawing, parking, examination space, bioinformatics, biostatistics, human performance/exercise assessment, pharmacy, and other ICTS support mechanisms.

Priority for ICTS Neuroimaging Unit support is for investigations that are likely to subsequently become successful extramural funding applications. The scientific merit of the proposal is also highly weighted. Consideration is also given to research environment and research record. Meritorious applications by new investigators are a particularly high priority.

Neuroimaging Responsibilities

  • Provide study design support
  • Facilitate data retrieval and storage
  • Assist in post processing analysis.
