Mission Statement The primary responsibility of the GCRC Neuroimaging Core is to provide support for human studies that involve human neuroscience imaging. All available modalities of brain and spine imaging are supported, including CT, transcranial magnetic stimulation, SPECT, anatomical MRI, functional MRI, perfusion MRI, MR spectroscopy, and PET scanning. Imaging support can include assistance with study design, data analysis, and data storage. Other potential support includes nursing support, blood drawing, parking, examination space, bioinformatics, biostatistics, human performance/exercise assessment, pharmacy, and other GCRC support mechanisms.
Criteria for GCRC Neuroimaging Core Support Priority for GCRC Neuroimaging Core support is for investigations that are likely to subsequently become successful extramural funding applications. The scientific merit of the proposal is also highly weighted. Consideration is also given to research environment and research record. Meritorious applications by new investigators are a particularly high priority.
