Instructions for zipping DICOM files for image upload
Please use the following set of instructions for preparing zip files containing DICOM images. If you are using any operating system other than the ones listed below, refer to your user manual for reference.
For Windows XP
- Open up My Folder
- Navigate to the folder containing all the dicom files.
- Select all the files
- On the highlighted files, Right-Click and choose Send To
- Choose the send to Compressed (zipped) Folder option
- A new zip will be created in the same folder, arbitrarily named based on one of the files that was zipped.
- Use the upload form on the previous page to upload this zipped file.
For Mac OS X
- Use the Finder to navigate to the folder containing all the dicom files.
- Select all the files
- On the highlighted files, Control-Click and choose Create Archive of X Items
- A new zip will be created in the same folder, arbitrarily named based on one of the files that was zipped.
- Use the upload form on the previous page to upload this zipped file.
For Red Hat Linux
- Use the Home Browser to navigate to the folder containing all the dicom files.
- Select all the files
- On the highlighted files, Right-Click and choose Add to Archive...
- In the textbox that appears, assign the name for the zip file. Make sure you include the .zip extension.
- A new zip will be created in the same folder with the name you specified. You may need to refresh your folder contents for the sip to appear.
- Use the upload form on the previous page to upload this zipped file.
